“Last Wednesday the 2nd BACH students had a conference about the Erasmus experience that some students from Deusto University who were doing a semester here in Bilbao were having.
The boy was German and the girl was Polish so they had different opinions and told us about their home towns: Hamburg and Warsaw Their experience was told in a lively way; sharing their feelings with us, interacting and asking questions.
They also mentioned the cultural differences between their countries and Bilbao; what it involves to be an Erasmus student; their daily lives…
We were encouraged to try to do an Erasmus because from their point of view it will change our lives in a very positive way; we will become more mature, we will have to develop social skills, face different problems on our own , learn or brush up a new language… throughout the conference we had the opportunity to ask questions which made it more interesting. At the end a Spanish Erasmus student talked about her experience in England and how she had to struggle and work hard.
All in all they shared the same opinion about the Erasmus experience; something all university students should consider doing once in a lifetime because it will definitely change you.”
